What Are the Benefits of Metal Recycling?
Beyond some extra cash in your pocket, metal recycling has a plethora of benefits. While you may be motivated by the check you’ll receive, consider these additional benefits when you decide whether to recycle your metals:
- Less Mining: Extensive mining operations can deplete our natural resources too fast. In addition to risking running out of these resources, many mining operations pollute the air and cause waste runoff into bodies of water. Recycling your metal means less need for mining.
- Supporting Jobs: Choosing to recycle metal creates jobs. Not only does it open positions for recycling professionals, but you can use your newfound cash to make purchases that stimulate the economy.
- Reduce Waste: Too much metal ends up in landfills. Do your part to keep waste out of the environment with metal recycling.
- Decrease Carbon Emissions: Did you know that a ton of recycled aluminum can decrease carbon emissions by eight tons? That’s reason enough to opt for recycling!
- Save Energy: Recycling your metals helps conserve energy in the long run. Just by recycling aluminum, you can save up to 92% of the energy that would’ve been used otherwise.
What Metal Has the Highest Recycling Rate?
Steel is the most recycled metal today.
How Long Does Recycling Take?
Recycling your batteries, brass, and other metals only takes about an hour of your time. In fact, most transactions are finished within a half hour. We’ll take care of the hard work for you, evaluating your materials and coming up with a fair price. In no time at all, you’ll leave with a check in hand!
Do You Provide Pickup Services?
Yes. Our team can provide scrap metal pickup in many cases. Let us know the amount of material you need transported to our recycling facility, and we’ll let you know if we have the means to complete your request. Pickup services are subject to our staff’s availability.
Why Is Metal Recycling Important?
Metal recycling is crucial to promote sustainability. Sustainability is the idea that we must take measures to preserve our supply of natural resources to ensure our current quality of life. Opting to recycle your copper, steel, and iron can go a long way to maintaining these essential resources for future generations. The more you recycle, and the more people you encourage to recycle as well, the better chance we have of preserving our environment in the years to come.
